Can a security guard man handle you from a shop premises?

Just wondering, as i seen a person been removed by force becuase they were complianing about item bought in the shop and because they shouting, they were asked to leave. they wouldn't, so security pushed them off the premises.
Is this Legal?

No, but they could have called the police and they could have arrested the person so maybe it was the best option for the person you saw.
