Buying new car battery

Approx how much does a good new battery cost and does the make of the car affect type of battery you buy? In other words can a battery fitted to all makes of car. Mine is a ford focus.

Probably an easier way to choose. Diesels are different to petrols, year of car can matter, etc

usually 70 to 100 euro, fitted. Sizes, shapes and the poles on top of the batteries are different, so no one battery will fit all cars.

Battery specs vary depending on the engine size, fuel type, and equipment level. Use the Halfords tool, or take a look at your current battery to get the specs, then shop around. You'll probably find a local motor factor who is significantly cheaper than the likes of Halfords.

Very true. Also check your local tyre centre, they usually supply and fit batteries too.
