must looking for some advice, have been looking at building an outdoor building, 9m wide.

with 3m wide office and the remainder as a storage area.

I was looking to build this out of timber stud, with corrugated metal outside, insulation and OSB interior with a metal roof.

But was just looking at steel frame sheds - would this be somthing anyone has bought the components of before and built their own ?

hard to find specs online or where to buy - was thinking perhaps the metal stud used for internal work may be a different product ?

dont want to buy it premade as cost is out of budget, timber is possible but just to look at metal as alternative.

thanks

The internal stud framing wound't be capable of supporting a wall and withstanding the forces a shed will be exposed to.

Building a decent office / storage isn't cheap if you do it property once you factor in insulation, vapour barriers, etc..

You're likely aware already, but if your overall area is going to exceed 25sqm, then planning permission will be required. If it's to the side of the house (visible from the front), finishes to walls and roof must match the house itself.

25 sq m is the maximum without planning permission and includes all sheds in garden :
" The total area of such structures constructed, erected or placed within the curtilage of a house shall not, taken together with any other such structures previously constructed, erected or placed within the said curtilage, exceed 25 square metres "
