British Contributary Pension: entitled to a medical card automaticaly here in ireland

My friend is currently applying for her british pension having worked there for many years, when she recieves this, is she and her husband, who is not yet pension age, entitled to a medical card automaticaly here in ireland?they have been living here now for approx 20 years. Thank you

Passat, she would not necessarily be automatically entitled, it would depend on what her husband is doing as well! If both were in receipt of Pensions from UK and not claiming any money here then the answer would be yes they are entitled. But I think a lot depends on what her husband is doing. If she worked here (as you say she has been here for twenty years) this could make a difference.
