please help

brand new fireplace only put in last week.

got wooden floors put down today and noticed that the hearth is scratched.

not sure when this has happened. the grate was left out on the hearth by the guys putting it in and either i scratched it by moving the grate when cleaning, the wooden floor scratched or it was like this when we got it. have no idea. it doesnt really matter anyway. i just need to get rid of them.

is there anything i can use to cover the scratches...am nearly throwing up here.

ssm get back on to who supplied it. it may polish out to hardly being noticable and depending on the marfil could be sanded down and thenm polished back up through 7 stages of polishing. some people have used t cut (abrasive type car polish) on small scratchs and it has done the job.

just rang the supplier and yes indeed he is going to call up tomorrow to have a look at it.
