A “financial advisor” in the Irish sense. Basically someone who’s selling commission based investment products under the guise of impartial professional advice.

More media coverage in the SBP this morning regarding the company in question contacting investors directly by cold calling them asking them to support a scheme of arrangement (my relative was contacted directly by letter).

Brokers representing investors are apparently up in arms about this. In my relative’s case, the company in question and his financial advisor/broker are, to all intents and purposes, one and the same, so it is quite confusing.

What an utter mess.
