Where would I get a good rate for changing currency, need to get Sterling and don't want to pay any more than I have to?

if you are just going shopping to newry (or further) you can check the rate in newry with www.bureaudechangebuttercrane.com before you travel.
i have no connection to them, but find their online service very good for comparing prices.
if you are going shopping, bring euro too as some shops do offer a good rate of exchange while others are ripoff.
 
Post Office is always trusted and competitive on foreign currency.
