best interest rates on savings account in EU

I'm rather disappointed with the interest rates on savings accounts offered in most european countries. I've heard that swiss banks offer better rates. could someone please let me know which banks offer a good rate and are used to dealing with eu residents.

i'm hoping to lodge a sum of 2000 euro. thanks in advance.
 
Why are you looking to lodge money in another country other than Ireland? If you lodge money in Switzerland then your money will be subject to €/CHF currency fluctuations.
