Best Buy Regular Saver Account

Is there any particular reason why the Ulster Bank Special Interest Deposit Account and the EBS Family Savings accounts are not joint best buys? Both are at 4% for year one and the UB account appears to stay at 4% thereafter. Have I missed something?

EBS guarantee 4% for the first year.

The Ulster Bank rate is variable and may/probably will change during your first year of saving.

Hence, the EBS product is likely to earn savers a greater return than the Ulster product.

Having said that, some savers may find the Ulster T&C's best meet their needs.
