Bank savings accounts that are guaranteed outside of Ireland

I've been looking at options for a savings account in Ireland other than the big state owned banks. I noticed that RaboDirect is part of the Dutch banking deposit guarantee scheme. This seems like an advantage unless I misunderstand this feature. If there was another banking crisis in Ireland, wouldn't RaboDirect savings offer a bit more protection?

What other banks can one open an account in Ireland but benefit from a guarantee by another Eurozone member country? I know that many people went to open bank accounts in other Eurozone countries for protection, but it is much easier if you can accomplish the same thing inside Ireland.

Of course I'm looking for a good interest rate as well so this is only one decision factor. Thanks!
