hi guys, I hope that you can help me and that Im in the right forum.
I've been told that I'm going to be made redundant. I'm due a baby end of April. I spoke to Mat benefit section and was told I need to pay a contribution on or after 11th January, which will be 16 weeks before my due date.
I have spoken to my employer, and they have agreed the following, due to be finalised tomorrow:-
I will be put on part time and working from home until January 11th (exact date to be confirmed)
My 'months notice' and accrued holidays will be used by me as salary between now and Jan
then I will be made redundant
then I can apply for Mat leave.
I just wanted opinions on whether this will work, and what questions I need to ask at my meeting tomorrow.
I'm really confused about it all, have been working for the past 10 years so would really like to get whatever entitlements I can.
Hubby has been out of work since July, but is hopefully going to be reinstated next week.
