18 in Setember and in 3rd level, Child benefit for summer?

I have a form from the Child Benefit Section to complete.
The child turned 18 at the end of September, and has started in 3rd level education.
Is it worth completing the form? Would he get CB not at all, just for September, or for the summer also?
 
Hi gervan as far as i know cb finishes when the child reaches 18 regardless of whether they are in full time education or not .
 
I already know Child benefit ceased after the child turned 18.
But he was under 18 when he started the college course, so was under 18 and in full-time education, just not for the full month.
 
When the child turned 16 you would have got a form for the school to sign stating the month and year he would be finishing secondary school . He should have been paid up to June and then if his birthday falls after the 1st Tuesday in September he should be paid for Sept.
 
Hi gervan i was just looking at the website for child benefit and it says that when you return the form you will also be paid for July and august . Every penny helps
