My brother is suffering from severe mental illness is now 60 and on a small employer pension since ceasing work 10 years ago.He did not apply for social welfare until a few months ago but has been refused the Invalidity Pension on the grounds that he is not permanently incapable for work.This man cannot concentrate and has no interests or friends.His doctors and psychiatrist confirmed was not fit to work over the last 10 Years and unlikely to ever be fit for work.
