Hi hope someone can help.
I have been a stay at home mum for the last 3yrs, I have been offered a job and trying to figure out if it is worth taking up.

My wages will be 400.00 per week, my husband is self employed RCTS pays 35% and has all the credits at present,
what are my options to paying the least amount of tax, levies etc. on my wages as I will also have to pay a minder for my children.

thanks in advance.

Your husband will have the married credit 3660 and 44,400 of standard rate cut off. You are entitled to a PAYE Cr of 1830 and 28400 of standard rate cut off.
So you have PAYE of E44.8 (400 x 20% - 35.2)
PRSI E10.92 (400 - 127 x 4%)
Income Levy E8 (400 x 2%)
Net weekly pay E 335.
Obviously you could take some of your husbands credits but that will mean he pays more tax.

Thank You

Thanks a mill for taking the time to explain, at least now I can make a decision about taking the job.
I dont think it would be a good idea to take some of hubbys it would prob push him into the higher tax bracket.
