Hi all, i know this could be tricky but from Feb this year i have been working for myself. i would be classes as a sole trader, basically i would always perform my job outside of the country, mostly away for 2-4 weeks at a time, i in turn get paid from a US based company that pay me in USD.
chances are that i will qualify for VAT due to the threshold but i not not buy or supply any materials, am i still going to be made to register ?
Now if i reurn home for 2 weeks and wait for more work , could i sign on ? or is this time of nil work taken into account when i do my taxes.
Irish taxation is never straight forward, any ideas or hints appreciated,
