Working out take home pay when days reduced from 5 to 3

Last week my working week was reduced from 5 days to 3 per week. I started claiming social welfare for the other days as soon as I found out and hopefully this will be sorted in the next few weeks - fingers crossed.

What I need to find out though is what my actual take home pay will be while on a 3 day week. I am paying the standard rate and class of tax and prsi.

I assume its not as simple as dividing my net salary for 5 days by 5 and multiplying by 3. Is there a calculator on the web that you can use?

My employer hasn't been able to give me an answer and says I'll have to wait til the end of the month. However, I'd like to have an idea of what it'll be now so that I can redo my budget.

My gross pay per month for 5 day week was €2917, net pay was €2490.

I'd estimate (purely based on the two figures you supplied) that your monthly take home pay (including deduction for 1% levy) will be roughly €1610.
