Hi .

suggestions,ideas welcome.

Creche, Book-keeping, Accounts.

Where do your interests lie? What are you qualfied to do? Is it purely for money? Beware of the scams e.g filling envelopes, assembling small items etc.

Hi. Put very simply, it's finding betting odd at 2 bookies that favour opposite teams. Best thing to do is Google it.

thank you all for the posts.
I was an officer on an americian cruise line for 6 yrs but im now a stay at home mom.Daughter only 3 and not in school yet.I wanted to do a pre nursing course but its 9am-4pm .thats knocked on the head because id have no one to watch my 3 yr old or 8 yr old .cant do child minding in my as im on loan parent and RA plus the house is tiny.(cant swing a cat in it)

what does an officer on a cruise line do? can you adapt those skills in anyway? Have you read 'what colour is my parachute'? Really good book I think.
Can you get a grant to do pre-nursing? Does the college have a creche? Maybe the college hardship fund would help pay for childminding?

hi,i was a 2.5 bar safety officer.S.W can help with 500e but the rest i have to pay the school cant help.i just got off the phone with them.the course is full time 9-4 but the evening course is 7-9.30 pm and costs 910e.

Such a bummer. Why is it so hard for people on s.w to get out of the s.w system and live like everyone else.

Depending on where you live could you mind child(ren) after school? Or take in some regular ironing jobs?

Remember that all income must be declared to SW and the HSE, and may affect your entitlements.

There are some disregards for part-time earnings while on One Parent Family payment so you may not lose anything.

nope,no space for looking after another child.as for the ironing not to worry.thanks all for your input.I'll work something out.Good to know theres peeps out there that offer suggestions.

yup i can do the pre nursing at home but the fee is 3,000 euro i was at the BIFE yesterday and was told i could apply for vtos grant but would have to pay first BUT if i wasnt granted the grant then i wouldnt be able to do it as the grant pais for full time child care.

so........in the end i have to give up the nursing studies and wait till next september.
such a shame .
