work in finance

Any ideas on how to get into finance industry. I am doing a part time business studies course as a mature student but there is very little about finance in it. My present job has nothing to do with finance.
 
When you say 'finance'-what exactly do you mean? The finance (accounting) department of an organisation or corporate finance?
 
financial services, lacking in experience so need to start at lower level

Before you proceeed you might find out what the QFA will give you on top of your degree and whether it is recognised outside the sector. What does the NQAI have to say about it - see www.nqai.ie.
