Wooden Floors

Hi all, recently, got semi-solid wooden floors put down for €2,100.
There are several problems setting in already. Firstly, the wood is soft in some places and will actually bounce if stepped on. Another area is soft and caves in when stepped on and another area still is incredibly creaky.

Am due to call the company soon...any tips re my rights.

Thanks, John.

Hi John,

Not sure about your rights but just wondering if you have paid the company in full?

That's awful for you to have this problem. Was it like this when it was first put down or did the problems occur some time after??If the problems did not happen for a few months then it may be down to conditions in your house. Over the winter months we tend to have the heating on more. This will expand the wood and will make it buckle in places and will give your floor a wooden effect. However if your floor was laid looking like this you can get in contact with the company who supplied it. I hope you used one of their recommended fitters as you only have one person to cantact not 2. Best of Luck
