Wooden Floor Wipes - Attach to What?

Hello all,

We used to have one of those wiper yokes that you can attach wooden floor wipes to (Consist of mop type handle with flat thingy at the bottom and you just 'stuff' the wipe into four sections...(?))Makes giving the floor a quick wipe extremely easy. We managed to break ours and threw it out thinking we'd get another easy enough.....not the case and believe me I've looked! They don't seem to sell them with the wipes any more. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on one?

I know exactly the sort of thing you're talking about. I got mine in a discount store a few years ago.

Have you tried somewhere like HomeStore? I bought a mop in there about 2 years ago that has a capsule for holding water/floor cleaner that you can spray onto the floor, but it also has the slots for holding wipes/cloths on the base. Mind you, it wasn't cheap - about €50 - but I like it because it saves me having to store a separate bucket.

What about that crowd JW-whatever who do all the gadgety stuff? They tend to have end displays/stands in a lot of hardware stores.

Aldi and Lidl often have them. I have 2 myself and they are brillant. I have also seen them in tesco.

ya got mine in tesco too. Seen them in aldi and lidl too as vectra said.

I've been searching for ages for those Vileda floor wipes. I suspect they have been taken off the market. I've even checked out the Vileda site - but no joy there. I suspect they are no longer being produced by Vileda. They are similar in appearance to very large facial wipes, thin disposable wet wipes.

Wooden Floor Wipes - will they not scratch your floor?

Attach to What? - If you must use these Wooden Floor Wipes, stapling them to the outside of little Grunwald's babygro is a win-win; ankle-biter gets exercise, floors get cleaned.

Don't laugh but I don't bother with the mop part anymore. I just use my foot to manouvre the wipe around the floor.

Its great for getting into all those awkward places and I'm also giving my legs a workout .

2 birds with one stone !!!

Hey,
Thanks for the replies. No joy in Tesco (Galway) but will try Aldi and Lidl to see if there's any joy there. Will order it from that site on e-bay if it comes to it as I find them soooooo handy!
Thanks again
