Wooden Floor & Tiling

We are hoping to put our semi solid floors down this weekend (we have underfloor heating in our new build) - the tiler was suppose to have the tiles in hall and kitchen done this week but he wont be around for the week so he will have to do them next week. The underfloor heating is supposed to be off when the tiles go down so is it ok to put the wooden floors down and then have the heating off for about a week and then gradually build up the heat again.

It says on the instructions for the wood to make sure all tiling in the house is done before the wood goes down but we wont have this done.

Why do they suggest to have all tiling done and should the wood be ok if we do it as described above.

Thanks

:)

I cannot think why you would have to put down the wood first On our recent build we put down the ceramic tiles first and it does not seem to have made any difference one way or the other

Also tiling is a much more messy/dirty job than wooden floor laying.
If you put down the wooden floor first there is a chance of unfortunate accidents.
