wires disconnected when new door was fitted.any advice on correct way to replace wiring. hkc rf contact door sensor.

Local alarm installer?

Is the alarm system not tripping out because of the cut? It should have detected it as a tamper.

Would suggest getting an alarm guy to fix this. Should only be 60-70 depending on the part of the country you're in.

Are there other similar contact sensors on other doors or windows? Installer will almost certainly use the same colour coding for the contacts on all devices. Check the others are re-wire that one in the same pattern.

Aren't you the cute one @Leo. :D

The only problem with that is that normally an E/E point is not looped through whereas nearly all other points will be, so different wiring.
Easy for anybody used to doing it but not so easy for a first timer.

Also, I'm wondering why use/pay for an RF sensor and then hard wire it, unless faulty or change of panel?

Well perhaps the back door will have the same wiring . . although I guess most alarms are configured with only one E/E point.
