Wireless barcode scanner

Is it possible to get a barcode scanner that you could use while travelling in a van, say selling items, scanning the barcode & storing additional information, & download all the information onto an excel sheet via USB later when your in the office

Yes Metrologic do one, I think its a Bluetooth one. Intact Software used to sell and install them. www.intact.ie

Install them, could you expalin further, I'm not that well up in this type of software at all

Actually you can use general handheld barcode scanner as a portable data collection terminal.

You can use a Wireless Barcode Adapter to convert the corded scanner into a bluetooth one.

Of course the precondition is you are willing to scan the barcode data into your mobile phone or PDA.

I guess you wouldn't carry a laptop.

If you have a smart phone, you can handle your businee much more easier.

Get an android phone and download the Barcode Scanner application.
it will decode the barcode, give description and search on the web for the product and make a price comparison as well.
