Hello all,

Thinking of buying a wine fridge to put in our new kitchen. Seen one yesterday in one of the stores in Naas Retail Park - 279EUR for a 52 bottle holder. Is this good value? Can anyone recommend where I might see some more? I am hesitant to go to EBay just yet.

It would be grand if you just drink LOTS of white wine. Could you use the space for something else

If its a new kitchen, look at a larger fridge (for white wine) and a wine rack for the Red Wine

go to www.eurocave.com and look at some of their wine coolers. beware of drinks fridges that are sold as wine coolers. a drinks fridge will keep all drinks at fridge-like temperature - ideal for beer, mineral water and white-wine that you intend to consume within a short space of time. a proper wine-cooler or other storage device is designed for longer-term storage (basically to try and replicate the temperature of a cellar as central heating & insulation renders most modern houses too warm for longer term storage). some of the more advanced wine-coolers offer several temperature zones withing the same unit so that you can store red & white for long periods of time whilst the cooler zone will chill white for immediate consumption.
