Windows XP service Pack 2 - how do you download with Firefox

Running Firefox as my browser. Need to install Winows XP Service Pack 2. However Microsoft download site notes that you need IE to download it or else purchase a CD for 8 euro. Any way around this? Thanks

Would it not hurt to use IE just this once?!

Ah yes - but you see I removed it from my machine and now find that IE7 needs SP2 installed Catch 22. I tried to bring down IE6 and had a problem there too!

One possible solution is to purchase one of the monthly PC magazines such as PC Format or PC Advisor. Invariably the cover disc will have a copy of IE7...

Install the IE tab add on for firefox and take it from there.

Surely you could D/L IE and take it from there.

I downloaded IE 6 from this link with both Firefox & Opera, no problems:

Thanks folks - got it sorted. Service pack 2 now installed having eventually downloaded IE6.
