Can anyone tell me which software is better to make video calls to my sister in America using a webcan - Windows Live Messenger or Skype?
Also, I'm currently using Windows Live Messenger with a Microsoft Lifecam VX 1000 webcam to make such video calls. The picture is fine, it's just the sound isn't working. Well, I can hear my sister but she can't hear me. She has a microphone add-on to her PC but I don't. However, there is a microphone built in to my webcam but presumably it's not functioning well.
Does anyone have experience of this and would they recommend me getting a separate microphone in order to be able to make audio calls through the PCs?
