Window size regulations

Hi, I have searched the DOE website trying to find out what is the legal minimum size for windows in a new house, under the building regulations, does anyone know? I cant get my hands on an actual size, despite having read through all i can find under building regulations.
Any ideas anyone?

You need to check out page 54 of Part B of the Technical Guidance Documents which states (among other things): "...window should provide an unobstructed opening not less than 850mm high and 500mm wide. The opening section of the window should be secured by means of fastenings which are readily openable from the inside".
