Wind generation for electricity.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience at all of residential electricity powered by your own wind tower. Any info would be usefull. THinking of doing it more for an money saving point of view than environmental.

Capital & maintenance cost of plant will probably make this rather unattractive.

Dont laugh, the end user electricity service is great value.

Might point you in the right direction.
I think Elderdog is right - If my memory serves me right, it's very expensive to set up.

Would you post back if you find out more ?

Was just looking at windsave.com Not a great wesite but you may as well have alook at it since it's right down your street.

We also inquired about the windsave product from a Northern Ireland company but were told it wouldn't be available in the Republic until July/August. They didn't mention how much it would cost, or how much it could save.
