Willis electric Immersion Heater - anyone know about these?

Apparently these are a NI invention and are very popular there.

They are fitted externally to the normal hot water tank and are plumbed in to the tank, and heat the water quickly, and give a full tank of Hot water.

Anyone have one?

Are they dearer to run and if so by how much?

Am being quoted 150 to get one plumbed in.
 
They are just an immersion in a heatexchanger external to the cylinder. They work fine possibly faster than the immersion if you want a small bit of hot water quickly
