Will my lump sum be safe with Investec?

The new 6 month deposit rate is good so i have decided that I am going to run with it.

I have never had any dealings iwth them so my only concern now like with all banks is will my money be safe for the 6 months? 40k

Also do you have to actually walk into them or do they have an online system in place to tranfer funds?

Thanks in advance for any help.
 
They are covered by the UK goverment scheme up to GBP50k as far as I know

As the previous poster said 50,000 GBP (about 55,000 EUR) is proteced by the UK Govt so it is very safe.

Their branch is in Harcourt Street, they also let you do a wire transfer to a BOI settlement account.

The offer is time limited so the sooner you act the better.
