'Will' made in London

Does anyone know if it is possible to look up a 'will' in London. I have been asked to google it and cannot find anything. This person does not know the solicitors but is aware of the persons death and has his reasons for checking this out.

1. Is the death recent?
2. Will there or has there been a Grant of Probate?


Wills are not published by some central agency on the death of someone.

If, however, the deceased made a will, and the death was some time ago and and the executor(s) have extracted a Grant of Probate, then a Law Searcher should be able to find the Grant and a copy of the will from the London Probate Office.

Law searchers will need date of death and an address for the deceased.

Many thanks mf1. The death was in the last 3 months to my knowledge. I do not know if grant of probate was done but I will pass this on to my friend and they can take it from here. M.
