Wife not paid for 2 of 5 months maternity; can I use her tax credits?

Hi,

My wife is only being paid 75% of her salary (less the Maternity benefit, paid to company), for 3 of the 5 months of 'paid maternity leave'.

Can I claim single-income tax credits for these 2 months?
Would it worth my while?
These months will be in 2007.
We are both in higher tax bracket.

The easiest way to allocate credits between spouses is to do so using Revenue's Online Service (ROS). You can register for this service at www.ros.ie
