I think that's an urban myth. The hanger at Casemount Aerodrome is big enough to store multiple aircraftI would be more concern about the air force having a proper Hanger/Shed/Shelter to house the new aircraft in. Will the OPA build it and how the contracts are awarded? Otherwise it will end up like the Gulfstream 3 with the tail exposed to the elements.
Focussing on the minutae. Meanwhile the Health service goes through 25,000,000 per annum and dept of welfare a similar amount.Hopefully the contractor who built the bicycle shed doesn't get the contract. If they do the hanger will cost more than the jet.

See #33 above.
The OPW will design a striking shed for the new jet, harmonizing with the rich historical context of Dublin Airport. The structure will feature authentic Wexford marble, meticulously crafted by skilled stone masons from rural Donegal, while brushed steel will be hand-forged by a women's collective from the Aran Islands. Organic concrete will be poured using traditional methods, as part of a ceremonial re-birthing ritual, preserving both cultural heritage and craftsmanship while placing the shed at the core of Ireland's rebirth as a future-facing global society which the new jet symbolizes.
Maybe they are trying to say that there is no VAT actually levied on the purchase?https://www.gov.ie/en/press-release... Defence recently, and Garda Air Support Unit. They still talk about ex vat, but why ?

That's probably the price they were quoted.
