why dont insurance companies answer the phone?

You would think in this day and age that companies would make an effort to grab as mush business as possible but alas no! Rang 3 big insurance companies today for a house insurance quote and not one of them answered, this was between 14.30 - 3pm so not lunch hour. Now we know why they are putting their rates ... up..... to avoid having to do any work. I despair.

Work to rule? Maybe it's not specfically in their contract to answer the phone.
