Why did RTE suddenly cut the press conference feed?

Was watching last nights press conference on RTE. When Vincent Browne started asking difficult questions, RTE suddenly and unexpectantly pulled the plug on the conference and went to the studio? Why? Is the Government exerting some influence on their broadcasts? Had to switch to Sky News to see the remainder of the conference.
 
I think the influence worked both ways, the announcement was delayed until Fair City had finished.

Very poor show indeed though from RTE, one of the most important announcements in the history of the State and I have to turn to the BBC to watch it.
 
You only notice this now?
I'd never rely on Irish mainstream media, especially RTE, for news coverage.
 
Vincent was in top form and having had two of his questions parried he gave Cowen a lash (from 17mins) here.
