Who is Eddie Hobbs?

From the RTE site today, looks like Eddie is getting his own live [broken link removed] before a live studio audience, is there any other type?

If I recall correctly, EH played a key role in ensuring that Taylor was bought to justice by engaging the detective who eventually found Taylor in the UK.
