Bathroom tiles often look dull because of lime scale. HG hagesan blue removes this, other products available in the range for different jobs. I got it in Woodies, but I'm sure any good hardware shop will have them.
you can now get tile paint so perhaps you could paint in a border or some random tiles could be painted different colours. I used this paint in a downstairs loo it worked fine
