White Paint on a Rust Coloured Carpet! Help!

Hi,
Firstly please excuse my excessive use of ! in the title of this thread!!!!

Over the last few months I have been renovating the house (painting, gutting, refurbishing etc). Unfortunately I have just noticed one or two blotches of white paint on the carpet. Can anyone recommend a way of getting rid of these without damaging the integrity / colour of the carpet.

(BTW I am not sure what kind of paint each mark is but it was definitely one of the following – satinwood, undercoat or matt).​

You'd think with all your money that you'd get someone else to do the decorating and just buy new carpet ;)
