Need to purchase 2 fridge freezers, a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, hob and extractor, tumble dryer. Would appreciate any advice that people might have about purchasing white goods here or in Northern Ireland? (The house is in Louth so for deliveries it is much of a muchness!)

Has it worked out cheaper for people going North? Has anyone got stuff at particularly good value recently in any of the sales? Does anyone have experience of getting good discounts by ordering in bulk. Many thanks for any advice that people might have in advance of venturing forth to purchase this stuff hopefully at the weekend!

have a look at ebay, we bought a smeg fridge and a dual-fuel belling range style cooker and chimney hood and saved about 1200. having said that we ended up getting our integrated washing machine and dishwasher local as we were going for bosch and couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else. the people we bought from ebay were very helpful with delaying delivery of the range they are budgetdomesticappliances, a lot of their stuff is 'graded' which means there are minor scratches but nothing that would be visible once installed. best of luck.

As you are in Louth you should try Watters Electrical in Culloville.

I have bought all my gear there over the past few years and he always managed to match or beat any other price. He will also deliver if you talk nice to him.
