I am looking to install a whole house water treatment system as I face issues like like dry skin, itchiness, hair loss etc.

Also what about adding Chlorine / Fluoride / Pesticide removal as well, if this is possible? Any company or product you suggest?

Are you sure your dry skin and hair loss (?) is connected to your water supply? Seems like there could be many other reasons for this, many of them more plausible.

Water softeners are good for preventing your kettle and other appliances from building up limescale. Not sure the lime is actually dangerous to humans.

Exactly, even those selling water softeners are careful to avoid suggesting it's a possible cause, and even go so far as saying soft water will not cure any skin conditions. If the salespeople are saying that...

I might be going for a cheap option - Lime Wizard Water Filter - www.earthridge.ie/lime-wizard , around 50 euro + few quid for installing this

The other solutions cost 700+, and lots more for servicing, salt etc. Am I going in the right way?

My parents have one of the salt based systems, my skin is pretty irritable and I don't find the water there any better or worse than Dublin tap water.

Then why the hype regarding water softening
