Which Tank for Solar

Hi Guys,

My builder has come back with an option for a glass enamelled tank rather than Stainless steel. Is there any reason not to go with this?
 
I'm not an authority on this but glass lined steel tanks would be seen as second best to stainless steel tanks.

The glass lined tank has a device that rusts in lieu of the tank casing rusting and it may need replacing after x years but who would check that for you I don't know.

Stainless steel cylinders and copper cylinders are usually not sold as "second hand "cylinders Because they do tend to last 20-40 years, and people tend to keep them.

Standart Glass Cylinders generally speaking need replacing between 10-20 years.


Builders ( with some exceptions ) are usually trying to save themselves money so beware
