Which Remote PC Access solution

What is the best solution for getting remote control access of clients PCs for support. Ideally no install on clients PC. Anybody used Bomgar ?

logmein free ---> needs a install on the client

logmein rescue ---> user goes to website, enters in 6 digit code and you can connect to their screen

gotoassist ---> more expensive version of rescue

webex ---> in the middle of rescue and GTA

we use rescue and logmein free, used GTA in the past very good but very expensive, foundd webex very laggy at times

Remote access should only be done on a secured LAN/VPN and not over the open internet unless other security measures are taken (e.g. ssh etc.). What about RealVNC, Windows Remote Desktop or NetMeeting (or equivalent) desktop sharing? I think our IT crowd use something called DameWare for taking remote control but I don't know much about it.

realvnc is a secuirty nightmare, most of the packages above use at least 128bit encryption

I did point out the potential security issues of any remote desktop access mechanism. As far as I recall there are ways to integrate VNC with something like OpenSSL or SSH or the like and maybe even packaged versions of same.
