Which PC for keeping business a/c's

A friend of mine is setting up a new business and wants to get a PC to keep his records for the business and also for internet banking. He would need a printer also.

What kind of Pc would best suit his needs? What spec would be required to run the following :

Microsoft office (or equiv)
Internet Connection

Was looking up dell but not sure how much he should spend?
 
If he is just doing general office based work on it then any new PC should do him as the processing, graphics, memory and diskspace requirements would not be that huge for such applications. Dell is as good as anybody else. You could save a little going elsewhere but the savings would probably be marginal these days. Try looking at the Dell business range and see what the basic specs look like and come out at on price.
 
Just to add, if they use a PC for their business, then a backup stragey would be just as important as the PC, just think of it as what would they do if they lost all their paper work..

Thanks for the replies...suzie will tell him to bear that in mind about a backup unit.
It's just when you go onto the Dell website it's hard to know what exactly to tick for his needs. He will need and office package and internet usage to start off with as won't have any employees so won't need payroll packages. Just wondered if someone else had bought a pc recently for small business use and could recommend what they purchased.
