Which Engine oil to use?

Hi,

Anyone an opinion on which is the best brand and type of engine oil to use on a 98 Honda Civic 1.4i litre pertol car?
I see there are synthetic,semi synthetic etc. a little confusing to a novice like myself.

Any advice appreciated,

Your owner manual will recommend the most suitable brand/type for your car. AFAIK synthetic has better lubricating qualities than semi-synth and both are better than non-synth...
