Hi all,

Installing an electric shower into our new bathroom and want to make it as stylish as possible. Was looking at the Triton chrome electric showers on e-bay and they seem to be going from between 250-400 euro exclusive of postage. Can anyone recommend one please. Would there be much difference between the 8.5 kw and the 10.5KW.

The reason I'm going for an electric is, I was told, that 1) It is supposed to be more cost effecient over a period of time as we hardly every heat the emersion in the Summer so we'd have to heat it in order to get water for shower and also the pressure is bad so we'd also have to get a pump in too and 2) we have instant hot water for shower whenever we need it. Are they fair assumptions?

Forgive the ignorance.

Thanks.

These are the very reasons that we went for an electric (Triton T90) many moons ago and have not regretted it to-date.

There are some previous threads on recommended showers .

The 10.5kw heats a greater amount of water per second than a 8.5kw but needs a bigger cable, a 10mm square, whereas the 8.5kw only needs a 6mm square cable.. Also the the 10.5 uses about 25% more electricity than the 8.5..
