Hello, I am just looking for some advice, I am applying for a new mortgage(Variable) for a build. I have applied with AIB, BOI, Ulster Bank and EBS. They have all agreed in principle there should be no problem with gettting mortgage, Permanent job, good saving history etc. My question is which bank would be best, Their variable rate have liitle or no different betwwen them.
My opinion is
AIB cons They want use to use our saving first so first drwn down would not be till next year so no change of availing of trs. PRO have large no of mortgage holders and owned by Government so variable rate wont go crazy( Thinking of PTSB RATE)
EBS ProsWill let us draw down to the valuable of the land i own so to avail of trs Cons Dont know much about them???
Ulsterbank Cons Not profitable so potentially pull out of ireland
BOI have not meet with them yet.
I dont want to base my decision totally on interest rate as this will change so the cheapest today may not be the cheapest tomorrow so any advice apart from interest rate, Which bank would be best
Thanks
Mary
