Which 40" LCD or Plasma

I am looking for a 40" LCD or Plasma. I think I'll go for the Samsung one. It's around 2K. Anybody got this one? Any other recomendations ?

You don't say which model or whether you are looking for LCD or Plasma. Samsung LCDs seem to have a good price / features & performance ratio.

If you can afford a bit (or a lot) more, you won't go wrong with the latest Sony Bravia or Philips Ambilight models.

LCD versus Plasma is another discussion. At 37" / 40" or so I would favour LCD. At bigger sizes, Plasma are usually cheaper.

As with everything, though, you should look at them subjectively in the showroom with the same source e.g. a favourite DVD, to compare them in the flesh. Bear in mind also that they won't look as sharp with regular analogue broadcasts.

Samsung 40R51

Pioneer 43". Fantastic. Read the reviews. An investment but worth it. Don't half buy products like this.

I think 43" is too big for my living room. I'm pushing it already with 40". How would the samsung be 'half buy' are they not great quality ?
