where would I get the leg of a table?

I have a piece of solid oak worktop left over I'd like to use to make a small table. I'm thinking of attaching one end to the wall with a bracket and getting a heavy metal pole something T shaped that could be bolted to the other end (underneath). Maybe it should be H shaped, I'd prefer to do this than get two legs to save space. Thing is I don't know where to start looking for such a leg, where would I start?

You could try a company called Hafele see www.hafele.ie - they would have a nice selection.

Call them and ask who in your locaility they supply as they will only deal with trade. they have about 15 legs in their brochure that you could choose from

That hafele places selection looks really good but they say they are trade only. Had a look at the B&Q U.K. website (no point phoning the feckers!) and there are some posibilities there too. Thanks folks think I'll get something to do the job.
