Where to meet an Uber at Gatwick Airport

Flying over next week.
Want to get an Uber rather than a taxi at the usual rank, obviously it will save quite a few £.
Is there an Uber pickup spot?
Or is it arranged directly with the driver when you book?
Should I book from Dublin in advance as I board?
Have only used Uber in Spain and its a great service.

Just be careful…I’ve noticed an increase in the price of Uber in the UK. And black cabs too, but the differental isn’t as big.

Interesting.. i may actually order a minicab from my destination and get the guy to pick me up. That may work out better

Uber increased prices by 10% in the UK before Christmas and also added an additional 15% for airport pickups at peak times. Train service into London is pretty decent from Gatwick, depending on where you are going

Should I book from Dublin in advance as I board?

No, as your flight could get cancelled.

In my experience with Uber in the UK it's hard to get a driver to accept a booking well in advance.
