I need the air con in my car regassed and was wondering if there were any specialists who do this rather than go to a main dealer and pay more than I need to. Dublin area would be best.

Thanks

Did you try the diy regassing cans available in Halfords?

theres a mobile guy in tallaght who goes to all the garages his name is john kinnealy he lives in bancroft in tallaght directory enquires will have his number i seem to have lost it .

Thanks Ford Jedi, much appreciated, I'll have a look today, my own service guy also pointed me towards "Automotive Air Conditioning" on Marian Road in Rathfarnham, gave them a call but they're a bit slow in getting back to me.

I'm not keen to try the Halfords type "air con in a can" top ups as I've heard that they can clog up the system with sealant and oil, and besides they're expensive enough that getting it done properly is not much more expensive (about €50 more apparently).

Well had a visit from "Automotive Air Conditioning" last night, very nice chap called Scott, job done and all happy. I have his mobile number if anyone wants it.

How much did it cost? Was there a leak in the system?

how often does the air-con need re-gassing?

i was driving for a few hours today - motorway - with the air-con on full power and as cold as it goes but it was still fairly warm.

car is a 2001 mondeo. i presume if the air con was working correctly i'd have been a bit chilly in the car?

how much roughly does it cost? anyone that got it done able to send me a contact number for someone who does it? thanks a lot.

Automotive Air Conditioning have a mobile service covering Dublin and quite a bit beyond, phone number in the book I think but I've PM'd vladamir with one of their mobile numbers, cost about €150 for a full regas and leak test I seem to remember.
